The Abilities in Action Conference and Expo will take place at the Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services Center in Marion, Wednesday, October 2, 2013. This continuing education opportunity will offer professionals in the disabilities field strategies for effective team building, leadership, organization, self-care and communication for professional growth and development. Additionally, conference participants will learn about the latest in adaptive devices and services.

Featured speakers include: Judith Warth, career connections employment training specialist, Center for Disabilities and Development, University of Iowa; Bob Hebl, executive director, Discovery Living, Inc.; Brooke Kriegel, associate director of planning and training, Discovery Living; Kristin Flood, chief executive officer, Kristin Flood Inspired, LLC.
