You may notice a new, yet familiar face the next time you’re at the Vinton Family Medical Clinic (VFMC). Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics is pleased to announce the addition of Ali LaGrange, ARNP (Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner) to the community of healthcare providers in Benton County.

Returning home to Vinton and recently completing her Nurse Practitioner credentials from Georgetown University, Ali brings to VFMC a rich array of experiences gained while living in Washington State and working for two regional hospitals over the past several years. Nurse Practitioners, according to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners are “clinicians that blend clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating health conditions with an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management, NPs bring a comprehensive perspective to health care.”

“I’ve been intrigued with the diagnosis process and as a provider you have to pull everything together. I like the challenge of it,” said Ali. It is evident she has a sincere interest in developing lasting healthcare relationships with the families at VFMC and the other VGH clinics.

Ali will be instrumental in serving the urgent care needs of the Vinton Family Medical Clinic and will become the Medical Director of VGH’s new Medicare Accountable Care Organization. “Her expertise will be utilized across a broad spectrum of healthcare needs within all of our clinics, such as increasing the capacity of the Urbana Family Medical Clinic,” said Mike Riege, CEO.

Originally from Vinton, Ali graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg High School in 2005, attained her Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Iowa in 2008, and recently earned her ARNP credentials from Georgetown University in 2014.

Please join us in welcoming Ali LaGrange, ARNP to the Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics family.

Ali LaGrange and her husband, Dan, live with their young son, Weston, and dog Henry in the countryside near Vinton.
