Health and Fitness : Flu Shot Clinics Announced

October marks the beginning of the influenza (flu) season and Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics now has the seasonal vaccine available during special Flu Shot Clinics at the Vinton Family Medical Clinic.

Influenza (flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness. Serious outcomes of flu infection can result in hospitalization or death. Some people, such as older people, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at high risk for serious flu complications. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated each year (source: CDC).

Saturday Flu Shot Clinics: 8:30a to 11am (October 11, 18 and 25)
Tuesday Flu Shot Clinics: 1pm to 5pm (October 14, 21, & 28)
Thursday Flu Shot Clinics: 2pm to 6pm (October 9, 16 23 & 30)
