Vinton-Shellsburg's Health Careers class is hosting a Red Cross blood drive on Friday April 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. If the class reaches its goal for units of blood it will receive a scholarship for its seniors. Appointments for the general public are available (call 319-436-4728 ext. 5635) or walk-ins are welcome. One unit can save three lives! Please come out and support our class, thank you

Adult walk-ins are welcome.

Students may sign up at school; the sheet is on the main office window sill. Must be 16 with parental permission or 17 or older without. Please see a Health Careers student for details and a treat if you sign up. Consider this life-saving opportunity.

Signing up online at the Red Cross Rapid Pass page can save time on donation day. Visit that page HERE.

"Our goal for this drive is 65 units," says class member Bristian Gerber. "We have gotten 87 units in previous drives. If we meet our goal Red Cross will give us three $500 scholarships."
