LifeServe Blood Center and Virginia Gay Hospital continue to celebrate their partnership. LifeServe, ranked as one of the top 15 blood centers in the country, is the sole supplier of all blood and blood products to patients who entrust their care to Virginia Gay Hospital.

LifeServe Blood Center provides 100% of all blood products needed to 175 hospitals primarily across Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois. The partnership between LifeServe and Virginia Gay Hospital allows residents and community members the opportunity to save lives in their neighborhood. As a community-based blood center, LifeServe only hosts blood drives in the communities where that blood will go back into the area hospitals.

No one can predict who will need blood at any moment, but donors who give with LifeServe can be assured that their donations will help someone in their own community. "We're excited to provide residents of Benton County and the surrounding areas with the chance to keep their blood donations local," said Danielle West, Regional Vice President at LifeServe Blood Center. "You never know when you, a loved one, a neighbor, or a friend might require a lifesaving blood transfusion. When that time comes, they'll receive blood from generous LifeServe donors right here in their community."

Virgina Gay Hospital invites the community to join their partnership with LifeServe at their upcoming blood drive on Friday, March 28 from 11:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the Clinic Conference Room (502 N. 9th Ave., Vinton). To schedule your lifesaving donation, visit lifeservebloodcenter.org or call LifeServe at 800.287.4903.
