LifeServe Blood Center is asking donors to step up and donate blood this summer to prevent a shortage in the community blood supply. Summer brings school break, weddings, vacations and outdoor fun, but as schedules fill up, blood donation appointments are often forgotten or pushed to the back burner. With many regular blood donors deferred due to travel to Zika endemic areas, LifeServe Blood Center is imploring eligible donors to make an appointment and give blood this summer. Eligible donors should weigh at least 120 pounds, be in good health and be 16 years or older. Donors under the age of 18 must bring a signed parental/guardian consent form. Please donate at a mobile drive near you! Keystone Community Blood Drive, Monday, June 6, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at St John Lutheran Church, 201 4th Ave. Schedule a blood donation appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800.287.4903.
