Benton County Fair Queen Katie Folkmann says she's very thankful for the people who helped her raise $3,000 during Saturday's Walk to End Alzheimer's in Cedar Rapids. But Katie is continuing to try to raise even more money to fight the disease that she says robbed her of both her grandfathers. "I would like to take a moment and thank everyone who came out to support me and my team and also would like to thank and recognize the other Fair Queens Brittany from Polk County and Courtney Riley from Monroe County in making the journey to join me," says Katie. "I hit my goal of $3,000, but I am not stopping there. So please donate here as well. Funds raised here will go back to the Alzheimer's Association as well as the Vinton Lutheran Home Memory Care Unit."
