Community-backed project expands emergency response capabilities for growing region.
Center Point Regional Ambulance, a volunteer-driven nonprofit emergency medical service, will soon break ground on a new facility designed to expand its capacity to deliver life-saving care across northern Linn County and the surrounding area.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the new site at 521 Franklin Street in Center Point. The public is invited to attend and celebrate this milestone for the community.
“Center Point Regional Ambulance has served this community for decades with incredible dedication,” said Don Donley, President of Center Point Regional Ambulance. “This project ensures we can continue to provide high-quality emergency services for years to come. We’re grateful to our volunteers, donors, and construction partners for making this vision possible.”
The project is being managed by Allan Development Company of Cedar Rapids, with Andrew Brundell serving as project manager. The new facility will feature improved ambulance bays, training and meeting space, and upgraded infrastructure to support modern emergency response needs.
“Allan Development is proud to partner with Center Point Regional Ambulance on this important community project,” said Brundell. “This isn’t just a building—it’s an investment in public safety and local collaboration.”
Community Partnership
The project was made possible through the support of local contractors and partners, whose contributions and expertise are recognized on-site with a new 4x8 sign. Key contributors include:
• FBI Buildings – Materials and Building Construction
• Hall & Hall Engineers, Inc. – Civil Engineering
• Keystone Savings Bank - Financing
• Rabe Hardware – Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC
• Wax Excavating – Site Preparation
• Allan Development Company – General Contractor
Additional project supporters and trades are recognized on the site signage, now installed at the construction site.
