Health and Fitness : Breast cancer survivor donates mammogram capes to VGH Imaging Services

Kathy Lariviere, the wife of Dr. Gene Lariviere (general surgeon at Virginia Gay Hospital) is recovering from breast cancer. She contacted me the other day stating she had a donation she wanted to make. 

Kathy has donated some new mammogram capes to our department.  The new capes are made of fleece and are longer than traditional mammogram capes. 

Kathy said the little things can make all the difference on how a patient feels about thier experience. She thanked us for the privacy she was given and for her great care she received at Virginia Gay Hospital during her testing and diagnosis.
