Photographers, thanks to a thunderstorm at sunset, had a variety of photo opportunities Monday night: Rainbows, sunset clouds, lightning, and more.

Mother nature offered the opportunity to take photos of just about everything, but baseball.

While skies to the south were bright blue as Viking fans arrived at Van Horne for the District final between Vinton-Shellsburg and Benton Community, dark clouds gathered to the north before making their way south, bringing wind, rain lightning.

After waiting for about an hour, umpires decided to delay the game until Tuesday. Because fans had already paid, no admission will be charged on Tuesday. The game takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesday; the winner advances to the Sub-State game which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, also in Van Horne.
