Perhaps the greatest compliment possible for any amateur trying a stunt at a county fair echoed across the infield of the Benton County Speedway at the end of Saturday evening's activities.

"These guys are more crazy than we are," said Nikki McBurnett, one of the three Team Danger daredevils who had performed stunts involving fire.

She was referring to the drivers who were participating iin the roll-over event. Drivers sped up to a ramp on the front straightaway and aimed at it with just one front tire, causing their car to roll over.

Many of the resulting crashes were spectacular, as cars landed upside-down after touching their front grills to the dirt.

All of the drivers walked away, although one man whose car ended up on its top was assisted by ambulance crews, who examined him.

The roll-over incident took place after the annual Jerry Stanley Memorial Demolition Derby, the traditional Saturday evening grandstand event.
