Benton County Sheriff Randall Forsyth reports that deputies answered 323 calls for service and investigated 19 accidents. Deputies attempted to serve 258 civil papers and issued 64 traffic citations and 115 traffic warnings.

There were 27 arrests/juvenile referrals with 37 charges being filed in July 2013. See the arrest log HERE.

(15) were simple misdemeanors, (15) were indictable misdemeanors, and (7) were felony charges.

Charges included: Arrest Warrants served – 19; Assault – 4; Driving While Suspended / Revoked / Barred – 4; Operating While Intoxicated – 3; Theft – 1; Forgery – 1; Carrying Weapons – 1; Child Endangerment – 1; Felon in Possession of Firearm – 1; Interference With Official Acts – 1; Public Intoxication - 1.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
