On May 13, 2013, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA acquired a new addition to the chapter. With our chapter continuously growing and being as incredibly busy as we are, an assistant, Ms. Sarah Kirschbaum, was hired. She has been a major help in getting things done, working with students, and helping Mrs. Fleming.
Ms. Kirschbaum grew up in Glen Haven, Wis., on a dairy farm. She graduated from Cassville High School, and attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville for elementary education. She graduated from there in 2008. She has earned her Master's degree in education, and is currently attending Iowa State for graduate school in special education. She is also now a special education associate at Vinton-Shellsburg High School working with students in addition to being the FFA assistant.
Some fun facts about Ms. Kirschbaum are as follows:
Favorite Color? Pink
Any Pets? Two dogs, three cats, one goat, and two horses
Favorite Animal? Horse
Why did you want to be a teacher? To make a difference in young peoples lives
Favorite type of music? Country
Favorite Food? Roasted marshmellows
All in all we are very happy with having Ms. K join our team and hope she is as well!
