Tom Boeckmann led a tour of the aiport for Vinton Fire Department Thursday evening.
The Vinton Fire Department toured the local airport Thursday evening, and heard how the airport's weather information center could help them get more information about wind and other weather conditions during a hazard materials incident.
Airport Commission member Tom Boeckmann led the tour. He told the firefighters about the several businesses that use the airport as a base. He gave them a tour of the runway and introduced them to the leaders of Paradise Skydiving, which had several members jumping that night.

It was great to have the Kiwanis and the VFD visit and be able to share our latest improvements with them. We welcome any other civic groups who'd also like to schedule a tour. Rick Hadley
