The Summer Reading Program at the Vinton Public Library continues throughout the month of July.
Special events will take place throughout the month, as the program continues to reward children for reading.
Tuesday morning, several children participated in a reading of "River Song," as they sang along to the well-known story.
The big highlight of this week for children will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, when Ronald McDonald comes to the library.
The Grout Museum shells program will be featured at the library Friday, July 16.
Dan Wardell of Iowa Public Television will perform two shows on Wednesday, July 21, at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
The wrap-up with Jim Berkil, the Mad Scientist of Iowa, will take place Wednesday, July 28, at the Skate Center.
All other days in July will feature story and activity time that begins at 10:30 each weekday.
