Juvenile Referrals
September 4: A 17-year-old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Assault (Simple Misdemeanor).
September 10: A 13 year-old-male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Harassment - 1st Degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor).
September 11: A 15 year-old-male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Criminal Mischief - 5th Degree and Theft - 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanors).
Nine citations were issued in September. Four resulted from three state-reportable traffic accidents, three for minor using tobacco - 2nd offense, and the remainder for other traffic offenses.
Seven written warnings were issued in September.
Three parking/street storage violations were issued in September.
For the month of September, 134 complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.
