The Vinton-Shellsburg First Lego League teams participated in the December event, testing their robot-building and programming skills with other middle school students from around Iowa.

Three teams represented V-S: The Big Builders, Rockin Hedgehogs and Lego Crushers.

Team members included:

Hedgehogs: Lauren Murray, Lucy Howes-Vonstein, Kayla Griffith and Keira Ott

Big Builders: Isaac Allsup, Jesse Pladsen, Madi Atkinson, Jarvis Chesmore, Joey Ritter and Jay Andrews.

Crushers: Lillis Markey, Josie Sagan, Taylor Shipley, Ethan Rollinger, Brooks Erickson, CJ Rickels, Elias Colsch, Elijah Kalous and JJ Sloop.

Each team won an award honoring it for its efforts.
