Today (Thursday, Jan. 30) is the 100th day of school for Vinton-Shellsburg students. The first grade students eagerly accepted a challenge from Mrs. Martinez-Vazquez to celebrate the day by dressing up as though they were 100 years old.

Children came to school with masks, suspenders, old dresses, walkers, fake glasses and other props to help them ponder the life and appearance of a centenarian. Some even tried to walk like a 100-year-old.
