News : VS FFA members earn honors at Sub-Districts

On Wednesday February 26, 2014 the Vinton, Shellsburg FFA Chapter participated in Career Development Events at Hawkeye Community College for Sub-Districts. We had many members participating in many different events on this day. The results of Sub-Districts are:

Creed—Drew Wiley, Gold- Advance to Districts

Chapter Program—Hannah Seitz, Karley Kenney, Emily Cashman, they received Gold-Advance to districts.

Conduct—Sydney Walker, Jessica Alderson, Keri Webster, Katie Isbell, Grace Milroy, Olivia Walker, and Emily Reisch, Gold -Alternate to Districts

Extemporaneous Speaking—John Eden, Silver

Job Interview—Riley Ries, Gold- Alternate to Districts

Public Speaking—Shane Monaghan, Silver- Alternate to Districts

Ag Sales—Kyle Henkle, Gold- Alternate to Districts

Ag broadcasting—Amanda Burkey, Silver

We also had many members place very well in the Greenhand and Chapter Quiz! Members will participate in events at Districts on Saturday March 15, 2014. Overall we had a great day and hope to continue to do well at Districts!
