From the newest and largest four-wheel drive models to tractors nearly as old as their grandparents, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA members celebrated Tractor Day by driving about two dozen machines to school on Friday morning.

Students posed for photos, discussed the features of their rides, turned heads and made passers-by stop for a closer look. The FFA ladies wore pink shirts made especially for the day, announcing their preference for guys who drive tractors.

Tractor Day is an annual tradition, one of many the FFA continues in its efforts to remind the school body and community of the importance of farming.
