News : VSMS honors Students of the Trimester‏

The Students of the Trimester honor recognizes students of Vinton-Shellsburg Middle School for their character and citizenship, as well as their work in the classroom. 

Students of the trimester are selected by the teachers for demonstrating Viking Spirit ( being respectful, responsible, and safe) along with academic achievement for that student. So it might be a student who always comes prepared to class, shows respect to the teacher and others, and showed improvement is their academics even if they are not a straight A student. 

The honorees of the second trimester include:

6th Graders:  Back Row Sonnie Evans, Rebekah Kalina, Hanna Timmerman, Lauren Hendryx, Morgan Hansen, Leah Bohnsack, Katelyn O'Brien, Elijah Cox. Front Row:  Taryn Sutton, Franki Evans, Alyssa Reynolds, Raelyn Murray, Ryan  Schoettmer, Jesse Hepker, Wesley Mott.
