News : Pink Night nets $600 for fight against breast cancer

Vikette basketball players presented the Pink Night check to Monica Stark on Monday.

Late next January or early next February, the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes will host their sixth annual Pink Night.

This year's fifth annual event raised $600 for the VGH Gifts of Hope fund, which provides money for mammograms to patients who cannot afford the service. The Vikettes presented the check to VGH Imaging Services Director Monica Stark on Monday, with seniors Ashley McKenna, Bethany Stainbrook and Sara Jorgensen handing the check to Stark.
