Late last fall, during a quiet afternoon, a professional video production team, actors and volunteers from Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics took over a room to film a Christmas TV commercial.
“For the past two years we’ve worked with MVP Video Production, a local video production company, to film television commercials for Virginia Gay,” said Kim Frank, Director of Human Resources and Marketing. “This year we brought on Brad Johnson, Brad PR Johnson a public relations consultant, as our production coordinator and he created the concept and script for the project. Our overarching goal is to reach out to our community to let them know of the excellent services VGH provides, but for this Christmas commercial we wanted to create a thoughtful heartfelt message and are very pleased with the results”.
MVP submitted the video to the Iowa Motion Picture Association’s annual awards for consideration and last weekend the “Merry Christmas” video earned top honors.
According to the Iowa Motion Picture Association, awards “are given by the IMPA in recognition of outstanding creative and technical achievement in Iowa's moving image production industry, in all its forms. In this contest, there are two levels of recognition: nominees in each category will receive an Award of Achievement; and the winner in each category will receive the Award of Excellence.”
“Providing exceptional medical care to our community is our most important goal,” says Virginia Gay Hospital CEO, Mike Riege, “and connecting with our community through our marketing efforts provides us with another way to build relationships throughout the area. We’re proud of our marketing team for helping us reach out to our community, our patients and remind everyone of the importance of Virginia Gay Hospital and Clinics.”
