Vinton Police Department Log for April 2014

All charges are subject to review by the Benton County Attorney's Office. An arrest or criminal charge is merely an accusation and the Defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. Intrastate Warrants are issued by Law Enforcement Agencies for crimes happening in their jurisdictions.

Adult Arrests

April 2: Jessie J. Richardson, 18, Vinton; charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).

April 4: Joseph A Barker, 32, Vinton; intrastate warrant.

April 8: Cynthia S. Wheeler, 52, Vinton, charged with trespass (simple misdemeanor).

April 12: Obrien L. Brandenburg, 54, Vinton, intrastate warrants.

April 14: Chad A. Dee, 45, Vinton, charged with driving while under suspension (simple misdemeanor).

April 16: Joshua N. Randall, 32, Vinton, charged with Driving Under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor).

April 19: Lawrence E. Talbott, 42, Vinton, charged with Driving Under Suspension (Simple Misdemeanor).

April 20: Jessica I. Sims, 29, Vinton, charged with Public Intoxication (Simple Misdemeanor).

April 23: Jason L. Rose, 39, Atkins, intrastate warrant.

April 23:P Rose L. Beranek, 32, Atkins, intrastate warrant.

April 25: Deanna D. Seevell, 51, Vinton, charged with Theft 2nd Degree (Class “D Felony) – 2 Counts, Identity Theft (Class “D” Felony), Fraudulent Practices 2nd Degree (Class “D” Felony), Forgery (Aggravated Misdemeanor), and Tampering With Records (Aggravated Misdemeanor).

April 26: Matthew D. Robinson, 41, Vinton, charged with Child Endangerment (Aggravated Misdemeanor) and Assault Causing Injury (Serious Misdemeanor).

Juvenile Referrals

April 4 A 13 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for two counts of Assault Causing Injury (Serious Misdemeanor).

April 25 A 13 year old male was referred to Juvenile Probation for Theft 5th Degree (Simple Misdemeanor).

Fifteen citations were issued in April. No citations were issued from two reported private property traffic accidents, one citation for dog at large, one citation for curfew violation – 3rdoffense, and the remainder of the citations were for other traffic offenses.

Twenty-three written warnings were issued in April.

For the month of April, 137 complaints/calls for service were handled by the Vinton Police Department.

MM May 2, 2014, 3:37 pm I am hoping that the local law enforcement will start enforcing the honoring of stop signs. It\'s not very often I see someone stop at one.
