Freshly-polished pickup trucks. Stretch limousines. Colors from black and white to camouflage and orange to everything in between.

These vehicles and prom dresses and tuxedos appeared in Vinton Saturday evening, at the high school as well as restaurants, stores and gas stations throughout the area as Vinton-Shellsburg students made their way to the 2014 Prom.

The three traditional events took place again this year, as they have for many previous proms. The Grand March allowed the participants to let their friends and families see (and photograph) them. They then moved the celebration to the Skate Center for the dance before returning to the school for the overnight Post-Prom event.
