With the help of the Vinton Kiwanis Club and Vinton Police Officer James Livingston, the Vinton-Shellsburg Parks and Recreation Dept. held its annual Bike Safety Rodeo Tuesday, outside the Rec Center.

The participants had the chance to practice a variety of courses designed to test and improve their handling and traffic skills. Officer Livingston inspected bikes and helmets. There were also a variety of bicycle-related prizes for the participants.
