    A Vinton man was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant after this garage fire last week.

Martin John Lundvall, 40, of Vinton, was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant last week, after a fire in a garage at his residence at 704 8th Street in Vinton.

Lundvall was arrested for failing to appear in court in Independence on May 2, in connection with a case last August when he was arrested for OWI and possession of a controlled substance. A warrant for his arrest was issued after that court date; authorities arrested him after the fire.

The investigation is continuing.
