Kylie Hansen of Urbana, a 2-year member at Kettlebell Advantage, attended the Hardstyle Kettlebell Certification (HKC™) in Saint Paul, Minn., this week.

Like the RKC, the HKC includes a qualifying test of physical strength to ensure that those who attend the HKC have a reasonable level of fitness. The HKC is earned through diligent testing of each candidate. Each HKC candidate was evaluated for technical proficiency and teaching skills at the end of the workshop and was then granted either a pass or fail.

As the owner of Kettlebell Advantage I'm proud to announce Kylie did successfully meet the above requirements and was awarded the HKC Certification. Kylie becomes just the 2nd female to be added as an instructor since Kettlebell Advantage was established in 2007.

Kylie will bring a lot of energy to the gym helping to fill the void that will be left when Lisa Marter, HKC steps down from instructing workouts as her and her husband Eric welcome their first child in August.

In 7 years I've only hand picked 5 people to work with me because I still stand strong to the fact Kettlebells should only be taught by those who have been through proper training. The same can be said about the TRX Suspension Trainers we use on a daily basis. Kylie also completed the TRX Course in April of this year.

"Men's Health" recently published an article backing what I just said so when you get a minute you should read it by following the link below.
