News : Party in the Park attendees to have opportunities to help others

This Harley, the prize for the Special Olympics Benefit Ride raffle in August, will be at PIP.

Party in the Park begins tonight, and those who attend the Friday and Saturday activities at Riverside Park will have two opportunities to help others, while getting a good deal on groceries and/or a chance to win a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Honor Flight Quaker Bags

These bags were generously donated to the East Iowa Honor Flights by Quaker Oats. They are filled to the brim with approximately $25 of cereal and other products made at the Quaker facilities in Cedar Rapids. Volunteers will be selling them for a $5 minimum donation at Party in the Park in Vinton this Friday and Saturday, June 27 & 28.

Special Olympics Harley Raffle

The Vinton Shellsburg United Special Olympians will have a booth at Riverside Park, where they will have on display the new Harley Davidson motorcycle being raffled for the 5th annual Benefit Ride on Aug. 16. The Harley will also be on display at the courthouse tonight during the Kids Night events.

Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. Stop by the booth to see the Harley and sign up!
