News : Vinton Area Ministerial Association (VAMA) to collect School Supplies

The Vinton Area Ministerial Association (VAMA) will again supply free K-8 school supplies with an emphasis on families in need of assistance. Should you need assistance please contact your building’s guidance counselor: Tilford, Sharla Wrage; Shellsburg, Bernice Fischels; and Middle School, Erin Heims. VAMA will make every effort to provide as many supplies as possible to those families who request assistance. VT: To donate to this cause, contact a local church.

Additional help for students:

The Vinton-Shellsburg Community Schools makes available to homeless children or youth, all services and assistance of the district. This includes, but is not limited to: Free School Breakfast and Lunch, Health Services, Special Education, Gifted Education, English Second Language, and Vocational Courses. Please note that annual notices and signature required
forms will be available on the website. These include
release forms for Student Directory Information, confidentiality
and waiver forms, approval to dispense medication forms, etc.
Please be sure to read and complete any form(s) that pertain to
your student or family. Forms may be requested from your
student’s building as well.
