News : Iowa Federated Garden Clubs Landscaping tour set for Sept. 17

An Educational Gardening and Landscaping Tour sponsored by the Federated Garden Clubs of Iowa Landscape Design and Gardening Study Consultants Councils is being held as a Bi-Refresher for those Landscape Design and Gardening Study Consultants who need to refresh their Credentials. It will be Friday, September 17, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The tour is open to the public, garden club and at-large members and consultants. The Educational Tour will include the Ann Smeltzer Historic Property, a walking tour of the Oak Hill National Historic Register District, the Blanden Art Museum, lunch and evaluation of a private garden and landscape, new landscaping at Iowa Central Community College, and new landscaping at Friendship Haven Retirement Complex. Registration fee is $25.00, including lunch, with a $5.00 late fee after September 8.
