Quick!

From all quarters, without equivocation, even if it requires an equestrian route and payment of quayage, quiet your quarreling, quit your inquietudes, and acquiesce to the quizzical inquiry into this unique and unequivocally  quirky custom: Q and U have exquisitely quantified their quizzotical and quid-pro-quo correlation to become a couple.

(In other words, don’t make any excuses and do whatever it takes to come join the wedding party for the letters Q and U at Tilford Elementary.)

Squirm away from squeaking and equivocal qualifying it as quixotry, and with aquiline exquisiteness, squash the squabbles and  equip our quantity of quizzical kids as well as our quinquagenarians to qualify and equalize the connection between the two letters.

Ok, I quit with the quintasyllabic Q-words.

But behind the masquerading is a squarely quality celebration with vows and even bouquets.

For the second time in the past few weeks, Q and U got married at Tilford, on a Friday. Today, the first graders of Mrs. Vasquez and Mrs. Neblung, aided by fourth-graders who represented the other 24 letters of the alphabet, celebrated the unique relationship between the two letters. Principal Jim Murray officiated the ceremony. After the lighting of the unity candle and the exchange of rings and vows, the first and fourth-graders joined the wedding party for a reception and dances, including The Chicken Dance, The Hokey-Pokey and Splish-Splash.

The tradition is an annual celebration each fall, as the first-graders study how Q and U work together to make words.
