The Iowa Braille and Sight-Saving School roof project is nearly complete.

"It has been a very complicated project trying to put a new engineered roof on a 160 year old building," said IBSSS Supervisor of Plant Services Kevin Kacena. Many challenges to overcome.

The roof itself is complete, said Kacena.

"They are still installing the cornice material and some gutter work," he said. TThe exterior of the building should be done by the end of next week. They will be doing all of the sidewalk and landscape repair starting tomorrow and will be done by the end of next week, which will complete all of the exterior work. They still have some interior repairs to do and the project will be finished."
