On December 16th, 2014 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA members and Ag students had a busy day unloading box after box off of a delivery truck then sorting through all of it. This was because of the annual FFA fruit sales.

This year, the chapter made a total of $29,251.25 in sales. Thirteen students sold over $500, the goal the chapter set for everyone to sell, and 9 of those students sold over $1,000. Those members were Cassie Kenney, Cole Emrich, Daisy Johnson, Abby Price, Emily Reisch, Sydney Walker, Keri Webster, John Eden, and Riley Ries.

It was amazing to get so many orders and to be able to use the Animal Learning Lab to hold the fruit, sausage, nuts, and cheeses instead of storing the fruit in the school woods shop.
