Vinton has had a long time unofficial mascot.

For months there was a little guy running around town, homeless and unable to be captured.

Every once in a while I'd see a thread running on Facebook about the escapades of the little guy and read the concerns that folks had for the dog affectionally labeled "Hank".

Hank has been on his own for a long time, but has now been captured and is now up for adoption. He would need a great family to love him and to spend time with him. He loves to run so they believe a running buddy would be a great idea to include in his future family.

TS January 30, 2015, 1:22 pm Good for Hank!!! I hope he will find someone that will \"love him up\" ~ while he\'s been \'ornery\', he\'s also been a good boy...I\'ll bet he\'ll be happy to finally have a real home of his own, and not an empty garage to sleep in somewhere. I hope Vinton Today follows his story!!
MF February 5, 2015, 7:04 pm I was just wondering if anyone knows if Hank has been adopted? Today I clicked on the link above to Petango and it says \"no longer available\". I hope he found a home.
MF February 6, 2015, 7:01 pm I got an email response from Katrina at Cedar Valley Humane Society.

This is the email I received:
I am very happy to say that Hank (now Bass) went to a very loving home, where he will be nothing but spoiled rotten like any good loved pet should be!!!!!
Just wanted to post update :-)
