News : VS board approves early retirement for Frazier, Barron, Primmer and Harris

During Monday's school board meeting, the board accepted Early Retirement Requess from Rhonda Barron (1st grade teacher at Tilford), Pam Primmer (special education teacher at the MS), John Frazier (2nd grade teacher at Tilford), and Jim Harris (physical education at the Middle School). The board thanked them for their 116 years of service to students and the district.

In other personnel changes, the board accepted:

o Resignations from Rich Haismann as 7th grade football coach (pending suitable replacement), Kirra Darling as a special education associate at Shellsburg, Crystal Coder as MS play sponsor and Faith Beltz as a special education teacher at the high school.

o Contract amendments and modifications for Judy Mumm as an adjustment concerning her paraeducator’s certificate and for Sue Grabe as an Induction Coach with Grant Wood AEA.

o Hiring of John Frazier as assistant 8th grade boys’ basketball coach, Hank Bratten as freshman baseball coach and Kelly Williams as a food service worker at the Middle School.

o Roger Pollock as a substitute teacher.
