News : Work begins on VSHS turf field

The work on the Karr Athletic Complex turf project began on Monday.

The era of artificial turf is in progress in Vinton, where workers have taken the first steps toward replacing the grass with an artificial turf, along with resurfacing the track and other improvements.

The work is expected to be completed in time for the first football game of the 2015 season.

The contribution of local donors and sponsors was a key part in allowing the district to move forward with this project at this time.
