News : Mechanical problem causes temporary closure of Vinton pool

The Vinton Community Swimming Pool will be closed, at a minimum, Memorial Day (May 25th) and Tuesday (May 26th) due to an unforeseen but significant mechanical issue that has arisen over the weekend with the pool's main circulation pump. As a result, it has been necessary to shut the pump down until it can be replaced or properly inspected and repaired. This pump is essential in the chlorination and filtering process and, with it's current inoperable state, we have no choice but to temporarily close our doors. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we are working diligently to repair the issue.
