Sarah Kreutner, the 2015 Fair Queen, is the second generation in her family to have earned that title.

Sarah, the daughter of Brian and Jen (Peterson) Kreutner, was crowned Queen on Thursday, July 23. Her mom had been the Story County Fair Queen in 1989.

"So far, I’ve had a wonderful time as Queen," says Sarah. "I’ve gone to many shows I usually don’t see and loved them. The pork show was especially interesting. Dad had hogs as a kid and showed in 4H, but I’ve never been around them. I wasn’t expecting the hogs to bump into us, but it was neat and I learned a lot. I met the Iowa Dairy Queen, Riley, at the dairy show, and then I got to spend all afternoon at the horse Fun Show. Sadie, the Princess, is a wonderful girl and helped me stay organized all day. I saw many friends and made a few more."

Other honorees this year include Princess Sadie Anderson, 1st runner up Bobbie Hilmer, and Miss Congenality Payton Sash.
