Just a reminder, your Cedar River R.A.T.S. will be gathering at the Vinton Park’s Boat Ramp this Saturday, August 8th at 9:00 A.M. to start their 8th Annual River Clean Up. (Shirts will be provided to the first 40 volunteers.)
The route will go from the Park’s ramp to Benton City, where lunch will be provided, and then finish up at WildCat Park.
Everything you need to volunteer will be provided for you, including: bags/buckets/gloves/lunch and an incredible sense of accomplishment at the end of the day!
Everyone is welcome to this rain or shine event, and any amount of time you can give is greatly appreciated. Perhaps you can help shuttle trailers or bake a pan of brownies? Just come to the park @ 9:00. Maybe you’d like to contribute something, but will be out of town this weekend? I’ll be happy to come to you for a bag of chips, a plate of cookies or a case of water to provide to our volunteers. Just give me a call @ 319-558-7476 to set up a time! Maybe you’re short on time but want to see what we’re all about ~ just come to the ramp @ 9:00 A.M. and see how we operate! It’s going to be a GREAT day with GREAT results!
I look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, and of course to ‘reporting back’ to you all on all of the unique treasures and disgusting trash that we find!
Pre-registration is not required, so it’s never too late! Just call 319-558-7476 with any questions.
