On August 30, 2015, Bethlehem Lutheran Church presented a gift of $102.00 to the Vinton Guild of Fine Arts. The art guild has been extremely busy in 2015.. They created cut outs of the "Ears of Corn" that were used during Ragbrai on July 23rd, when the riders rode through Vinton. Individuals were able to stick their heads through these cut outs of corn and get their pictures taken. 20- 7 foot ears of corn were created ....many of them have already displayed around town. A silent auction was held on August 29, 2015 auctioning off the remaining ears of corn, with the proceeds going to the art guild to help with future projects. The Fine Arts Guild is also working on a project entitled "Celebrate the Cedar River". The project is a twenty foot mural of the river with educational information on the opposite side. Accepting this gift at the churches worship service was Therese Foth, a member of the art guild.
