On Tuesday, October 20, 2015, Eastern Iowa Honor Flight #22 will head to Washington, DC with 87 Veterans plus their guardians. While there, they will visit the Memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice, tour the city, as well as visit Arlington National Cemetery where they will witness the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the tomb.
The breakdown of veterans is as follows:

KOREA 39
VIETNAM 35
Veterans will begin checking in at the Eastern Iowa Airport between 5:15-5:30 AM for a 7:00 AM departure. We will return to Cedar Rapids at approximately 10:15 PM.
We invite everybody to come out to the airport to welcome home these veterans and thank them for their service. For many of them, they never received such recognition.
Parking is free. Stop by the information desk in the terminal when you come in, and pick up a free parking ticket. Then when you leave, present that, along with the parking ticket you received when you came into the lot to the staff at the exit, and you will be good to go.
