On April 7th, 2016 the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter had their annual labor auction. At this, the chapter’s largest fundraising event, many buyers show up to buy FFA members for up to 8 hours worth of work.
This year, the Vinton-Shellsburg FFA Chapter had 34 members and 2 advisors sold to community members and local businesses. The chapter was able to raise $10,800, which will be used to help fund different events our chapter does and attends including National FFA Convention and State Convention.
The chapter is grateful for all of the support that the community shows and thanks them for donating to help the students grow and achieve excellence! With such a successful night, more members have the opportunity to become more involved in FFA, which can lead to them becoming successful in the future.
