George Bauer presents a check for $103 to Mike Timmermans of the VGH Foundation.
Very soon, the Virginia Gay Family Medical Clinic Expansion Project will begin.
The estimated total project cost will be $5.5 million dollars, with $4.5 million dollars coming from VGH Operations and $1 million from Community Support. The new clinic will be 2 stories and comprise 18,500 square feet of floor space (compared to the existing clinic which occupies 8,300 square feet.
Some important things to note:
The existing clinic will remain open throughout the construction process.
During construction, valet parking will be offered at the clinic as well as the hospital.
The new facility will accommodate as many as 9 providers, compared to 6 at the current clinic.
The existing clinic has 19 exam rooms, the new one will have 27 larger rooms.
The project will add 29 parking spaces and a covered portico over the entrance.
At Bethlehem's April 24, 2016 worship service, a gift of $103.00 was presented to the Virginia Gay Hospital to help fund their Clinic Expansion Project.
