News : Pie auction helps Friends of 4-H

The Friends of 4-H solicited pies and other baked goods from the community to be sold during the livestock auctions at the 2016 Benton County Fair. The proceeds from these auctions will be used to fund scholarship requests from Benton County 4-H members.

The members may request funds for scholarships to be used for such activities such as State 4-H Conference, camp, workshops and many other 4-H sponsored events at the local, state and national levels.

This year's benefactors are: at the Diamond Level ($1,000 and up) Benton County Pork Producers; Gold Level ($250-499) Matt Merivek, Rundlett Auction-Dakota Rundlett; at the Silver Level ($100-249) Benton County Cattleman, John and MaryAnn Buhr, Cory and Jeff Cronbaugh, and Seeck INC.-Jennie and Dale Seeck.

At the Bronze Level ($50-99) the following benefactors donated; RMA Transport-Martin Ballard, Haefner Construction- Kevin Haefner, LG Seeds- Pat Hill, Jeff Kromminga, Viking Sewing Center- Dean and Kathy Luze, Blake Mather Farms- Blake Mather, Brian McNulty, Kevin Sash, Schminke Seed-Cody Schminke, Kandy Schminke, Neil Siela, Hank Wehrman.
