Shelter volunteers took some animals to La Porte City to encourage adoption recently.
A friend of the Vinton Animal Shelter asked for donations to the shelter instead of birthday gifts.
Some teenage Vinton Animal shelter volunteers are holding Timi, a puppy that is available for adoption from the Vinton/Benton Co. Animal Shelter. Volunteers attended the La Porte City Fall Festival with adoptable pets recently.
Another shelter friend, Kelsey, poses with with sisters Nicole and Johanna and shelter volunteer Lori. They are surrounded by items donated to the shelter. Kelsey asked her friends to bring donated items for the shelter animals to her 12th birthday party instead of gifts for her. Way to go Kelsey!!
