News : Murphy Memorial Golf Tournament presents donation to Virginia Gay Foundation

The Virginia Gay Hospital Health Care Foundation once again extends a sincere thank-you to the Murphy family, and their friends and loved ones, who have donated so generously to so many Virginia Gay campaigns and Gifts of Hope. Now in it's 18th year the Murphy Memorial Golf Outing has contributed more than $300,000 to Virginia Gay and other worthy cancer-related causes.

"The Murphy Family, and their friends and supporters, are really special people," says Robin Martin, Virginia Gay Healthcare Foundation Director, "not just because of their generosity but because of the many years they've worked to make the tournament a success. I can't really express what these gifts mean to our patients. Virginia Gay has been able to improve the standard of care for our communities, while remaining non-profit and under local control, because of the support we receive from families like the Murphy's and other individuals and organizations."
