By Ryan Schlader Cedar Valley Nature Trail has reopened in Center Point through Memorial Day weekend 3.5-mile hard surfacing project is nearly complete. After several months of construction, the Cedar Valley Nature Trail has reopened to the public in Center Point from Iowa Street to the Grubbs Creek Bridge near Ash Lane. Last fall, asphalt paving took place from Schultz Road south of town to Iowa Street. A concrete surface was applied this spring from Iowa Street through Center Point to the Grubbs Creek Bridge. Additional enhancements will continue in June, including trail shoulder work, seeding, and drainage improvements. This work may require intermittent closures this summer. A reminder that north of Center Point, the trail is closed from 56th Street to Urbana Road due to the bridge replacement over West Blue Creek. Linn County Conservation appreciates the public's patience during these trail improvement projects
