News : Gingerbread house contest winner: Abby McKenna

Congratulations to Abby McKenna, the winner of the Vinton Public Library Gingerbread House Contest. Abby's creation was selected from among 12 entries in this year's contest. "We had picked up a kit that had Sweet Tarts, Nerds, Bottle Caps and Runts in it," says Abby's mom, Nichole. "I 'glued' the house together for her but she wanted no part of me helping decorate it." For her work, Abbywon some VU bucks, a gingerbread ornament, and a Christmas mug w/ hot chocolate.
