A Benton County deputy escaped serious injury in an accident overnight. On Wednesday morning, several people reported seeing the damaged squad car on a tow truck. Deputy Jerry Michael of the Sheriff's Department said that he had heard a deputy was responding to a call when a deer crossed the path of the squad car. Despite the significant damage to the car, the deputy apparently did not suffer any serious injuries. No other information is available at this time; Sheriff Randy Forsyth is in a training class with dispatcher today, said Michael.
